PARIS: Provincial festivities in honor of the great poet have resulted
in one serious accident. It occurred during a performance of ''Hernani.'
' M. Jean Dulac, who enacted the part of Ruy Gomez, imprudently wore
a real instead of a property dagger. He forgot about this in the stabbing
act, and thinking that the weapon was harmless plunged it into his
breast with great force, inflicting what may prove to be a fatal wound.
The audience did not know that anything serious had happened.
