Perhaps inspired by his great-great grandfather Victor Hugo, Pierre Hugo is hoping to ink a legacy of his own. He recently launched a series of collector's-item pens on which he re-creates the author's original notes and manuscripts.

Pierre says that jewelry as art runs in his family. His father was a designer well known in artistic circles for making limited-edition special-order jewelry designs in Paris during the '20s Modern period. He designed limited-edition jewelry interpretations for such luminaries as Pablo Picasso, Jean Cocteau and Max Ernst.
