Hoy se conmemora el Día Mundial del Libro y del Derecho de Autor porque fue en esta fecha, en 1616, cuando nacieron Cervantes y Shakespeare.

Se oirán discursos y se realizarán ferias del libro y festivales de la palabra, pero mañana todo se habrá olvidado y nos sentiremos satisfechos de haber cumplido con el rito anual.

Para una verdadera celebración, tendrían que emprenderse acciones eficaces y permanentes, como las que a continuación se señalan:
