The number of books, articles, poems and pamphlets written by T. S. Eliot
is impressive, but in some ways the number of books, articles, poems and
pamphlets written about T. S. Eliot is even more impressive. Few poets have
meant so much to so many and, unfortunately, been understood by so few.
