NEW DELHI, India, May 9 -- LUCKNOW's BENGALI fraternity will now look after Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore's statue that stands 'with its head held high' right in front of the DM's residence.
On the poet's 145th birth anniversary, they have decided to moot a proposal before the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) and district administration for permission. A decision to this effect was taken at a small gathering in front of Tagore's statue on Tuesday morning.
