GUWAHATI, May 8 -- The Guwahati City District Congress Committee has decided to observe the 145th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in a befitting manner on May 9 at Rabindra Bhawan, here from 10 am. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and APCC president Bhubaneswar Kalita will attend the programme. Ardhendu Banerjee, former Head of the Department of Bengali, Cotton College, will deliver a lecture on the occasion. A cultural function will also be held from 12 noon, informs a DCC press release issued here.
