Tagore concert benefits street children
"Ragas and Rhapsodies" brought the songs of Rabindranath Tagore to the
Florence Gould auditorium in Dec. 9 in a benefit performance for the street
children of Calcutta.
Isheeta Ganguly, artistic director and vocalist, with Ramesh Mishra on
sarangi and Samir Chatterjee on tabla, joined the Bharata Natyam dance
Company choreographed by Jonathan Hollander, and Bharata Natyam dancers
Sharoni and Kiku Chaudhuri, to present an evening of music inspired by
