Gandhi Foundation to build Atlanta HQ

The Atlanta, Georgia-based Gandhi Foundation of USA proposes to establish a
Gandhi Center there. At the first fund-raiser for the purpose, it presented
the Kuchipudi dance drama Chandalika, an adaptation from Nobel Laureate
Rabindranath Tagore's work, at the Realto Center for the Performing Arts at
Georgia State University in Atlanta July 31.

Students of the Academy of Kuchipudi Dance performed the play, with academy
head Sasikala Penumarthi playing the lead role of the untouchable woman,
Prakriti.
