Drew, Nancy The plucky heroine of a series of juvenile mysteries that began with "The Secret of the Old Clock" (1930). Created by "Carolyn Keene," Nancy Drew starred in over fifty books and several movies and a TV show. The daughter of a criminal lawyer, she was an ingenious and intrepid female counterpart to the contemporary HARDY BOYS. Both series were produced by the Edward STRATEMEYER syndicate.
