At the top of a mountain on the island of Samoa is a tomb carved from white marble. It looks out over the Pacific Ocean and the sound of tropical songbirds fills the air. It is dedicated to Tusitala, Samoan for 'the story teller'. We know Tusitala better as Robert Louis Stevenson. I had come to Samoa to find out why one of Scotland's greatest writers was buried here, on the opposite side of the world from his birthplace, Edinburgh.
