Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island is one of the greatest adventure stories ever written and now a new stage version is being brought to the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, from tonight until Saturday.
This new version of the classic adventure classic has been adapted for the stage by Stuart Paterson
When young Jim Hawkins discovers a treasure map in The Admiral Benbow Inn, he hands it over to Squire Trelawney. They set sail in search of a lost island but the ship's cook, Long John Silver, is a dangerous shipmate.
