ROBERT Louis Stevenson's classic pirate adventure Treasure Island is brought to life with wit and imagination in this Birmingham Stage Company production.
Adapted by Stuart Patterson and directed by Greg Banks, it keeps the plot simple but pacy as young Jim Hawkins takes to the sea with a rag tag group of sailors including the infamous Long John Silver and the gullible Squire Trelawney.
Iain Ridley, who played Danny with so much enthusiasm in BCS's last Christmas production Danny the Champion of the World, returns as an equally likeable Jim - the youngster every child in the audience wants ...
