DENVER, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Sheffield Exploration Company Inc. (AMEX.ECM: SHE) disclosed today it had a loss of $494,000, or $.15 per share, for the six-month period ended Dec. 31, 1994. The quarterly loss was $542,000 ($.17 per share). A $612,000 second quarter (ended Dec. 31, 1994) noncash writedown of the company's oil and gas properties contributed to the loss. For the six months and quarter ended Dec. 31, 1993, Sheffield had earnings of $301,000 ($.09 per share) and $162,000 ($.05 per share), respectively.
