Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has posted bail for her son Mark, who is accused of involvement in a coup plot in Equatorial Guinea, a source close to Lady Thatcher said Wednesday.
Lord Bell, Lady Thatcher's spokesman, declined to confirm or deny the report, which first appeared in The Times newspaper.
However, a source close to the former prime minister confirmed to The Associated Press that she had provided the bail money.
