Prime Minister Tony Blair struggled to counter a revolt within his own Labour Party Tuesday, trying to round up enough votes to win a House of Commons vote on his bill raising university tuition charges.
"To be absolutely honest, the government will get defeated unless some more people come over and commit themselves to supporting a Labour government," Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott told British Broadcasting Corp. radio Tuesday morning.
