Prime Minister Tony Blair, facing yet another call to halt the bombing in Afghanistan, prepared for some supersonic diplomacy Wednesday with a quick Concorde flight to meet U.S. President George W. Bush.

Lord Denis Healey, a Vietnam-era defense minister from Blair's Labor Party, argued Wednesday that the military campaign was alienating the Arab and Muslim world and recruiting more terrorists for Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network.
