EDGAR ALLAN POE COLLECTION BEGINS STAY AT CORNELL.(CNY)

A collection of materials related to writer Edgar Allan Poe begins a five-month stay at Cornell University on Sept. 29.

The 60-item exhibit, called "Nevermore: The Edgar Allan Poe Collection of Susan Jaffe Tane," includes a fragment of Poe's coffin and numerous manuscripts and samples of his work.

It will be displayed at the Hirshland Gallery of the Carl A. Kroch Library until Feb. 24, 2007. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

In connection with the exhibit, actor David Keltz will present a free, one-man show about Poe at 3 p.m. at Barnes Hall.
