The motto, 'No one wounds me with impunity,' in the poem 'The Cask of Amontillado' by Poe, denotes the theme in which Montresor aims to destroy Fortunato. The plot, where Montresor succeeds in his goal because he is alerted by someone stepping on a snake, is similar to the 'Order of the Thistle,' the attack on Scots be Danes. One of the Danish soldiers stepped on a thistle which alerted the Scots and helped them to defeat the Danes.
