Opera remains very much to the fore in the next few days, with a reminder that Chisinau National Opera returns to Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre tonight with the much-loved double-bill of Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Leoncavallo's Pagliacci (7.30pm, details on 0870 607 7544).
