In 1906, a 13-year-old girl in Camden who was fond of creative writing began work on her high school's literary magazine. At 20, she published the poem "Renascence," which catapulted her to fame in the world of letters.

A hundred years later, it's hard to say whether 11-year-old Liddy Clapp is the next Edna St. Vincent Millay, but the Belfast girl is confident enough in her writing and illustrating work to publish a children's book, "Little Miss Molly, Mexican Muchacha."

Liddy will read from the book and sign copies at The Fertile Mind Bookshop from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in Belfast.
