A WEST End play which was to star former Dr Who Christopher Eccleston, right, has been cancelled.
Eccleston, 41, was to have played Elizabethan playwright and spy Christopher Marlowe in The School Of Night, due to open at the Comedy Theatre on 27 February. Producer Mark Rubenstein would not specify the reason. He said: "Unfortunately it's not going to happen. It has nothing to do with Christopher. He would have been a brilliant Marlowe." It would have been his first high-profile role since he quit as Dr Who last year.
