Dramatic Characters
Ferneze: The Christian Governor of Malta who confiscates Barabas's wealth
to pay the Turkish tribute.
Lodowick: Ferneze's son. He is a suitor to Abigail, but is the victim
of Barabas's plot.
Selim Calymath: Son of the Turkish Grand Seignior who comes to Malta to
