Tragical History Of Doctor Faustus: Act IV
Act IV-Prologue
The Chorus narrates that when Faustus had travelled about the world and
had been filled with pleasure, he returned home to demonstrate his skill and
learning by answering questions in astrology. Faustus's fame has now spread
throughout the world, and he is entertained by the Emperor Charles V. The
Chorus remarks about this incident:
What there he did, in trial of his art,
I leave untold; your eyes shall see perform'd.
