The writer Rudyard Kipling was born in Mumbai in 1865, back when it was still called Bombay. Now, the city plans to honor him with his own museum, the first Kipling museum in the whole country. Plans call for tidying up the house where the author lived until he was 6 years old. Kipling left India for England, but returned later in life.
