JANE CAMPION, the award-winning filmmaker, hooked actor Ben Whishaw for her latest movie with her first 'hello'.

'She wrote me a note saying hello, and that she'd seen some of my film work and she'd spoken to some people about what I'd done on stage, and the Hamlet I did with Trevor Nunn,' Ben told me when we talked about Bright Star, the film Campion will shoot this summer about the love affair between late Romantic poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne.
