It's difficult living with a person who has an obsessive-compulsive disorder, and it can be just as difficult working with one.
Imagine, for example, the simple task of addressing envelopes. Most workers can accomplish the task with no problem. To obsessive-compulsives, it's unnerving.
They'll spend much more time than needed to make sure that it's accurate. Sure, accuracy is good, but when the person needs to put out hundreds of envelopes a day, production can suffer.
