LEONA -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bellevue United Methodist Church in Leona for Kathleen Norris Blocher, 80, formerly of Prairie Village, who died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at a Shawnee nursing home.
She was born March 1, 1919, in Buckhannon, W.Va., to Alonzo and Ada Smith Williams, and graduated from Upshur High School in Buckhannon. She received a BA degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and an MA degree in home economics from Columbia University in New York City. She taught in high schools in Shawnee Mission.
