The academic popularity of Marxist thought during the 20th century has dramatically decreased, but women's studies programs continue on their errant ways. The 150th anniversary of Karl Marx's "The Communist Manifesto" was celebrated by liberal intellectuals, but the celebration was merely nostalgia for a discredited philosophy. At Yale University, the women's studies program will be renamed to "women's and gender studies." The classes in the program are an affront to traditional education and serious scholarship.
