Karl Marx's and Friedrich Engels' book the 'Communist Manifesto' features a portrayal of the global dissemination of capitalism which is likely the most often cited portion of the volume. The trend the two authors pictured 150 years ago is still continuing and has been proven since 1948.

Probably the passage in the Communist Manifesto most frequently cited these days is a portrayal of the global spread of capitalism:
