Karl Marx's Beard The Arches, Glasgow Theatre

There are times when you feel the panto season just can't come quick enough.

Give me 'It's behind you!' and an audience full of screaming children any night, rather than some of this sadly arty stuff that Scottish theatre comes up with.

Still, there was a certain pantomimic feel to this week's shows, even if they were liable at any moment to disappear up their own jumpers through the sheer pretentiousness of it all.
