We are all 1,000 years old. Everything around us, this whole high pitch
cacophony of the media reminds us that 1,000 years have passed right before
our eyes. We witnessed the passing of a whole century. As we arrive in a
new century, we will be showered with ever more reminders that a new
century has passed.

We are at a vantage point, no doubt, of history as we know it. We are
choosing our mementos for the last 100 years. Every thing and every
category has been covered. The other day the best pretzel of the century
