DRAYTON House in Northamptonshire must be, at nearly 1,000 years old, one of the oldest inhabited homes in the country.
Among its treasures, acquired of that time, are many fine tapestries, one of which covers a splendid royal bed, from around 1700.
The house was once described by 18th century politician Horace Walpole as having "not a rag in it under forty, fifty or a thousand years old."
