The wife of Chilean President Ricardo Lagos will be named a goodwill ambassador for the upcoming Hans Christian Andersen bicentennial during a ceremony next week, organizers of the famed author's 2005 jubilee said Thursday.

Luisa Duran de Lagos was tapped to help increase the knowledge about Andersen in Chile and promote the 200th anniversary of Andersen's birth.
