Danish CROWN PRINCESS MARY has been appointed as honorary Hans Christian Andersen ambassador
by her husband Crown Prince FREDERIK.
The announcement at the Sydney Opera House has launched HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN day,
celebrating the bicentenary of the Danish storyteller's birth.
The ceremony took place in the JORN UTZON Room, named in honour of the Opera House's
Danish architect.
