The Kafka Bash, of course.

At least 80 people packed the Goethe-Institut's meeting room last weekend, munching on apple struedel, Linzer tortes, and cookies with schlag (a kind of whipped cream), as well as downing Czech beer. The scene, with Lucienne Davidson playing Czech music on a lustrous black piano, was intended to affect the ambience of the Prague cafes Franz Kafka frequented in his youth.
