'Kafka on Ice' Ice folly based on Czech author's life is cool comedic fodder for Denver troupe

Franz Kafka created some of the 20th Century's most haunting images: A man is tried and executed without ever knowing his alleged crime, another starves himself for a living and another voluntarily undergoes a slow, painful execution in a diabolical machine.

So, of course, Buntport Theater thought his life would be the perfect vehicle for a comedy.

And not just a comedy, but an ice capades comedy: "Kafka on Ice," which will be performed Saturday and Sunday at Colorado College.
