Andrew Ktting's compression of Emile Zola's Earth with John Berger's Pig Earth is one of the dirtiest movies I've ever seen. Set in an unnamed farming village somewhere in rural Yorkshire, it is filled with mud, rain, blood, pus, vomit, semen, piss and shit in an attempt to render the rural life as roughly realistic as possible. Imagine Cold Comfort Farm multiplied by a million. Without the jokes.
