IT's set. May 14 is the day of election in an election period that ends on June 13, which means that all the votes would have been finally counted. There will be 310,000 poll precincts, up from 286,000, to accommodate 49 million registered voters, more than half of an 80 million population. There are more Filipinos age 18 years and above than 17 years and below.

And they say there's a population explosion?

As I'm neither a statistician nor demographist, I can only take the official word for it. Perhaps, we're even more than 80 million now. ...
