In The Voices of Love (Highbridge; $16), poet and scholar J. D. McClatchy has compiled fifty-three memorable works by such Romantics--and mere romantics--as Lord Byron, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, W. H. Auden, e.e. cummings, James Merrill and Shakespeare (whose sonnets ate here along with the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet).
