OAKLAND loves its libraries.
So I was thinking about this while still in a Valentine's Day fog, and I recalled the poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who wrote about love in the 1880s. "Let me count the ways," she suggested.
That's when Oakland libraries came to mind, which shows what kind of mind I have.
Here's one way the people of Oakland have shown they love their libraries: They've supported every tax that has come before them that helps libraries.
