Jenny Agutter is the child star who became a sex symbol and leading lady. Chris Bond caught up with the actress as she returned to the scene of one of her most famous films.

IT'S hard not to give a wry smile.

Here we are shivering on the platform at Oakworth Station, made famous by Lionel Jefferies' wonderful film adaptation of Edith Nesbit's classic book The Railway Children, and Jenny Agutter is late.

The actress has been held up because of an overhead line fault which has delayed her London train - they never had this problem with steam engines.
