Tarzan's creator simply wrote books about the orphaned British nobleman turned King of the Jungle. He doubtless knew nothing of spinoffs.
But those relentless merchandisers at Walt Disney Art Classics aren't letting a single tropical vine grow under their feet. They're hawking a line of instant "collectibles"--art and statuettes--while Disney's animated "Tarzan" plays at a theater near you.
