Analysis: Postcard from Kosovo
Aug 16, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- You probably heard of "The Land that Time Forgot," the classic science fiction story by Edgar Rice Burroughs, which was later adapted into a feature length film. The story unfolds during World War I, when a German U-Boat torpedoes and sinks a British vessel. The crew takes on the survivors and then a wrong turn, which leads them to a land filled with dinosaurs. A place, as the title suggests, forgotten by time.
