QUENTIN LETTS, the Mail's brilliant parliamentary sketch writer, has been awarded the prestigious Edgar Wallace trophy, presented by the London Press Club fo r writing and reporting of the highest quality.
Home Secretary David Blunkett, handing over the award at Claridge's yesterday, joked that he hoped Quentin would have a long lunch and not be back in the House to exercise his critical wit on Government Ministers in the afternoon. The trophy is the latest in a series of awards in recent months which underlined the remarkable and sustained success of the Daily Mail.
