THE Daily Mail's Ian Wooldridge, doyen of sports writers, was yesterday honoured with one of the most prestigious awards in journalism.
Wooldridge won the London Press Club's Edgar Wallace Award in recognition of his fine writing and the high quality of his reporting. The judges praised him for the elegance and warmth of his columns.
