Sim, Alastair
(1900–76), outstanding Scottish actor, who could combine a roguish conspiratorial glee with prim old-maidish fastidiousness. He made his first appearance on the stage in 1930, and in 1932–3 was at the Old Vic , appearing later in Edgar Wallace's The Squeaker (1937).
