TUESDAY
FAIRYTALE: A TRUE STORY (TV3, noon, 1997): Based on a lie two little girls told in 1917 about photographing fairies, this kiddie film confuses reality and fantasy a little too often. Arthur Conan Doyle (Peter O'Toole) plays the believer to Houdini's (Harvey Keitel) sceptic.
WALKING AND TALKING (TV4, 9.30pm, 1996): Catherine Keener, Anne Heche, and Liev Schreiber star in this hip comedy. Worth a look.
