There are readers who finish a novel, put it aside and move on to another book, another author.

And then there are Readers.

For example, the legion of young J.K. Rowling fans who devour her Harry Potter books faster than she can write them, who dress up as little wizards, sporting owlish eyeglasses and capes and wands. Or the J.R.R. Tolkien enthusiasts who learn Elvish, spending hours poring over maps of Middle Earth and charting the family tree of Peregrin Took.
