Since the latter part of the 19th century, people have been interested in the fourth dimension. Very popular at that time, it was fascinating and left room for all kinds of speculations and assumptions. Some people even assumed it must be the place where God resides, heaven. Artists especially took a great interest in the fourth dimension. Writers like H. G.
