Having long been fascinated by Emily Dickinson and those around her, I was glad to see Candace Ridington's novel "Rubicon" reviewed in The Washington Times. I had just completed reading "Rubicon" when the review appeared.
However, I was surprised to find the reviewer unclear about why the author chose to treat the subject in novel form. What other genre might Miss Ridington have chosen? This was not a work of new research, but rather a way to bring this atmospheric love affair to breathing life.
